I have prayed many prayers for God's watch over you and the the rest of our brothers and sisters in arms, but because one meets a challenge in life doesn't mean one has not been watched over... I have complete faith that you will not only make a comeback but this time around stronger, wiser, faster. I am in recovery mode as well and once again you are helping, motivating, and inspiring me through these times even from hundred's of miles away. Very informative!
This winter makes it my second winter season as a runner but last year I had an accountability partner that got up with me everyday at 4 am to run during the times when we tend to fall into that "trap". This year the circumstances are a little different and I have to find that niche.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-970785674961102862.post-36515571649129446752011-08-06T10:37:56.530-05:002011-08-06T10:37:56.530-05:00That is great advice and pretty much what I have s...That is great advice and pretty much what I have started leaning towards. The long run. You should try and get a long run in at least once a week adding about 2 miles each time and peaking at about a 20 mile run then tapering back off. All the trainers and people I have talkedto in my own marathon journey have said that even if you skip most of the other workouts and only do long runs you are still going to be okay. So try to get some runs in over 16 miles to make sure you can handle the distance. Best of luck!

My biggest challenge is not over-racing before my goal race. lolAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
